Minnesota Vaccine Ambassador: U of M Women’s Basketball Coach, Lindsay Whalen
Hello everyone, Coach Whay, Lindsay Whalen, head coach of the University of Minnesota women’s basketball team, former Gopher, former Lynx player with the WNBA here, to talk today a little bit about vaccinations and getting our Covid 19 vaccines.
I have been vaccinated now for two months, and since then, I have felt more confident and comfortable to see my family and friends, go to restaurants, I went a Twins game. And this is all because of getting the vaccine.
So I cannot wait until next season, for Gopher athletics – football games, of course basketball games, and volleyball games. Everything that we all love to do as Minnesotans – gather as families, and go to restaurants and gatherings and everything.
So, I really encourage everyone to get vaccinated, and the faster we can all do that, the faster we can all gather and be around each other as Minnesotans. I want to pack the Barn next season, and in order to do that, we need to all get our vaccines. You know, I just encourage everyone to go out and get their vaccinations.
